Details are of the utmost importance when trying to produce high-quality forage in a timely manner. KUHN GF 1012 Series tedders have a unique and simple transport design that allows you to quickly transition from work to transport and back again from the comfort of the cab. This allows for fast and efficient travel between fields.

Features may include:

Headland Position
  • These tedders are easy to lift and maneuver on headlands. The introduction of dust in the forage is limited. An additional benefit is that the headlands do not need to be tedded twice.
  • One spool valve in the cab lifts all the rotors from the ground within less than 5 seconds providing high ground clearance to pass over windrows (approx. 20”) and allows operators to easily turn on headlands or narrow areas.
High Output with 3-Point Mounted Models
  • Stable and safe on the road with a small tractor
  • Machine less than 13’ high and 10’ wide in transport foreasy driving
  • Small tractor/machine distance for less weight on thetractor
Tedding Quality
  • The ground following on these tedders matches that of smaller sized models in the GF series. These machines have excellent ground following with their small rotors, that are each 5’ (1.5 m) in diameter, which allow for uniform tedding across the whole field. There is individual articulation between each rotor. Along with that, there is equal spacing between the rotors and tires for better ground following.
  • Perfect quality with the pitch angle adjusted in 2 minutes, no matter the length of the crop. Two pitch angles (16.5°–18.5°) with tool-free adjustment by lever for operator comfort. Small rotors have excellent pickup of the crop, do not form lumps, have uniform tedding across the whole field and efficient pickup.
Tines That Contact The Forage Earlier
  • Asymmetrical tines (longer outer finger) ensure a more complete tedding along the border and between the rotors.
Easy Adjustment
  • Depending on the model, the GF tedders may have either optional or standard centralized hydraulic border tedding. This allows for clean, careful tedding next to fences or neighboring fields. While tedding on slopes, operators can control the direction of crop spread and obtain an optimal spread pattern.
Minimum Maintenance
  • Maintenance time is limited to only 10 minutes per day. The DigiDrive® rotor drive is made of case-hardened, forged steel, allows for a large operating angle range and enables the rotors to fold to nearly 180°. These tedders also have maintenance-free drives which are guided by angular contact ball bearings. The thoroughly sealed rotor housing prevent lubricant leaks. The durable mounting of housings to the edge of the rectangular frame assists in maximizing the strength and durability of the machine.
